SPRING RENEWAL

2-5 May / 2024 / Hungary
Join us for a magical, healing journey

Overview

We invite you for a profound mystical journey where we release the weight of our past and pave a new path toward becoming better versions of ourselves. Our exploration will involve a deep internal examination facilitated by plant-based work to dissolve the barriers that hinder our progress in life. We will also establish deep connections within ourselves and with one another through the use of MDMA therapy.

Location & Accommodation

This enchanting retreat will be hosted within the stunning natural surroundings of the southern region of Lake Balaton. The retreat center is constructed using exquisite natural materials and is dedicated to minimizing its environmental impact. The 6-hectare valley includes a yurt, two guesthouses, and a spacious communal area for our ceremonies. You can bask in relaxation beside a warm fireplace, immerse yourself in beautiful melodies, and discover inner tranquility in this serene haven.

Preparation for your psychedelic journey

MENTAL PREPARATION

  • Educate yourself from reliable sources. Under 'recommended content' in our FAQ section, you will find educational links to prepare yourself mentally for the journey.

  • Ensure you have enough time to relax and process your experiences before and after the ceremony. Before your journey, take care of any work that might cause stress. Do not plan anything for after the ceremony; expect to rest for the rest of the day or evening. If you can, take an extra day off.

  • Set an intention for your journey: The "plant spirit" always knows what resonates best within your particular state of consciousness. It is an excellent teacher, so preparing at least one question/request is a good idea.

  • Trust the process: Try to let go of your expectations. While the magic mushroom doesn't always give what you expect, it will always give you what you need. For example, you may be expecting a visual 'journey,' but for you, the responses might come in the form of emotions or thoughts. Don't criticize whatever you receive from the "plant spirit"; trust the process. If others have a profound experience and you are not, don't be discouraged, and don't give up working with the plant. The "miracle" doesn't always happen the first time. You are no more or less than anyone else; everything always has its natural time and process. Each "journey" is very different; always be open.

  • If you are feeling insecure or afraid, there is nothing wrong with it; it is entirely natural. We will support you in any way we can to release this feeling.

  • Digital detox: 4-5 days before the retreat, spend enough time outdoors, avoid watching TV series, and minimize phone calls. Do not watch or read anything that would harm your subconscious. Walk, read, exercise, and try to spend time in a more harmonious environment.

PHYSICAL PREPARATION

  • It is essential to avoid eating meat, fatty and spicy foods, sugar, alcohol, and caffeinated drinks five days before the ceremony. Also, prevent cigarettes if possible.

  • 6 hours before the ceremony, eat a light breakfast (e.g., porridge, rice porridge, or fruit: bananas, apples, pears...) Do not eat later. This is important because it will allow the plant to work to its full potential.

The Therapy

You will partake in a mushroom ceremony designed to illuminate the depths of your subconscious mind. The second day is dedicated to understanding how to establish profound connections with yourself and your surroundings.

At birth, humans are inherently open and filled with love, eager to connect, learn, and evolve as sentient beings. Life experiences that bring suffering can, over time, cause us to close ourselves off. For example, after experiencing heartbreak, we may become less open to future romantic endeavors. Individuals who encounter a series of negative events associated with certain aspects of their lives may unintentionally restrict their openness to new experiences and opportunities.

Psilocybin, the active compound in psychoactive mushrooms, has played a significant role in the spiritual and cultural development of various civilizations. The Aztecs referred to it as 'teonanácatl,' translating to 'divine mushroom.' Modern neuroscience has illuminated how psilocybin interacts with serotonin receptors in the brain, producing a range of consciousness-altering effects. Recent research has demonstrated the effectiveness of magic mushrooms in treating depression, with significant increases in "Openness" observed following high-dose psilocybin sessions. Openness, in psychology, relates to one's receptivity to new experiences and is linked to traits such as imagination, creativity, and aesthetic appreciation. These effects often persist significantly beyond one year after the session.

Psychedelics, including psilocybin, have the potential to create states where our conscious experience of the world is liberated from the constraints of our individual ego, revealing it as a potentially illusory construct. Temporary ego dissolution can be profoundly transformative in the right context, fostering a deep sense of connection and heightened creativity.

MDMA elevates certain neurotransmitters, like serotonin, in the brain. When administered in controlled, regulated doses, it can enhance psychotherapy sessions for specific conditions, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). MDMA may reduce anxiety and defensiveness in those receiving therapy, strengthening the relationship with oneself and others. It can also be valuable in healing relationship patterns.
